“We’ve all heard the phrase “A child’s work is a child’s play.” Play is one of the most important things a child (or older person) can do. It helps us learn almost every important thing in our lives (sharing, caring, responsibility, how to have fun). Imaginative or dramatic play is one of the purest expressions of childhood but it seems to occur less as pressures of life are being placed upon children at an ever younger age. Wonder Capes encourage play and imagination, thereby enhancing self-esteem and emotional well-being . . . essential parts of healthy child-development. When my daughter puts on her Wonder Cape, she is instantly transformed into something else. Suddenly, she is a super-hero who can “fly” through the air or “rescue” caterpillars, kittens, or anything else that needs her (or can’t get out of her way fast enough J). And, listening to those amazing and mesmerizing giggles she lets out when she’s wearing it makes the fun contagious for anyone within earshot!“
