comfort capes

Comfort Capes are made with soft flannel fabric, for hospitalized children. The goal is to be soft to the touch. Something they can snuggle with. Keep them warm. Whatever they need or want their Cape to be.

Raymond will always hold a special place in our hearts, as he was the very first child to receive a Comfort Cape. We hope and pray that his Comfort Cape can in some small way bring strength and peace to this little Superhero as he continues his battle. Raymond has a special gift to touch the lives of those he meets. We will be forever grateful for having had the honor of getting to know him and his family. He truly is our Hero.

Raymond's Story

raymondRaymond was born with an abnormally small left side of his heart. Three open heart surgeries before the age of three left Raymond and his family hoping for a heart transplant, but Raymond’s body built up antibodies. His body would only reject a donor heart, so the family is forced to pray for a miracle.

Rylee's Story

rylee“Rylee is an amazing little girl with an infectious smile and heart-warming personality! Because she was born with Down syndrome and a heart defect, she has frequent medical appointments to keep her healthy and developing to her full potential!”

“Every child needs comfort, whether it’s provided by a pacifier, special blanket, or a CAPE! During a medical exam the Comfort Cape give kids the feeling of warmth, security, and to children who know stories about “super-heros”, a feeling of power and control. Every child deserves this, and Comfort Capes can give them exactly that!”

Mom and Author of the “Letters from Rylee” series
